Senior Residential Support Worker – Response Wales

New Reflexions are a childcare organisation providing an integrated service to young people who have experienced trauma in their lives. We believe that if it is not acceptable for our own children it is not acceptable for any child.

We are currently looking to recruit Senior Residential Care Workers to join our expanding workforce in Bala, and Corwen.

Our North Wales response homes offer an immediate response for young people who may be experiencing a crisis in their life.

Placements are generally 3 month programmes with supported transitions into their next longer term placement.

Our young people are offered a specially tailored programme containing a considerable amount of outdoor activities provided by the staff team throughout their stay. This provides the young people with fun and new opportunities, but also space and time to work through their difficulties and seek the help and support they need.

Up to £31,024 per annum depending on experience and qualifications, Senior applicants must either have achieved or be nearing completion of the Level 3 Qualification in Residential Childcare or equivalent, holding experience within residential Childcare.

As an organisation we are currently expanding and experiencing an exciting period of growth and therefore require more enthusiastic individuals to join our team as a Senior Residential Care Worker.

Requirements

  • Full UK manual driving Licence;
  • Access to your own transport;
  • Passionate about helping children;
  • Keen interest in outdoor education is also an advantage as we encourage our young people to be actively involved in the outdoors;
  • The post holder has the responsibility to adhere to our Safeguarding and Child Protection Procedure.

Whilst Part time Hours can be facilitated posts do require sleeping in duties and on call responsibilities on a rota basis.

The current shift pattern is 2 on 4 off and sleeping in duties will be required.

As this post is a regulated activity and/or on a regulated site the successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS, PVG check, and our safer recruitment process. This post is exempt from the provisions of section 4(2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions Order 1975).
